A Better Chance stands for education, access and opportunity. For 57 years, A Better Chance has been creating the leaders of color our world requires. They make a transformational difference in the lives of their future and current Scholars nationwide in grades 6 through 12.

For the past 57 years, A Better Chance has provided high-quality educational opportunities for over 16,500 talented students of color nationwide.

They do this by identifying, preparing, placing and supporting students working to gain admission at over 300 of the nation’s most competitive college preparatory schools. Once enrolled, A Better Chance supports their Scholars through workshops, webinars, and summer enrichment programs.

Historically, 96 percent of graduates of A Better Chance programs enroll in college, compared to 24 percent of students of color nationwide. These students have developed into policy makers, CEOs, academics, innovators and more.
